Hey there, I'm Luis, the guy behind Trading with Lu

I didn’t grow up around money talk. I wasn’t taught how to invest, trade, or manage risk. Like most people, I found finance intimidating at first. A world full of jargon, suits, and charts that looked like alien language.

But something about it pulled me in.

Eventually, I realized the markets weren’t just numbers on a screen. They were a mirror. They reflected my mindset, my emotions, and the patterns I hadn’t yet noticed in myself. Trading tested me in ways I didn’t expect. It challenged my patience, discipline, and self-awareness.

It didn’t all click in one moment. It’s been a long process. And that’s probably the most important thing I’ve learned. It’s all about the process.

Little by little, you start letting go of the emotions that hold you back and focus on what you can actually control. The losses, the fear, the FOMO—they never fully go away. But your job is to manage them, not pretend they don’t exist.

That’s why I built this Operating System. It started as a way to track myself and my emotions. A tool I created to stay honest and committed to figuring this out. Somewhere along the way, it turned into a passion.

I’m not here to sell you a course or pitch some perfect strategy. I’m here to help you bet on yourself. To share the lessons I’ve picked up over the last decade and maybe help you avoid some of the pitfalls we all run into.
